Maroc-Belgique: Arrivée au Maroc du Premier représentant belge pour co-présider la Haute commission mixte bilatérale

Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo arrived in Rabat on Sunday evening for a visit to the Kingdom during which he will co-chair the work of the High Joint Commission between Morocco and Belgium with Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.

Upon his arrival at Rabat-Salé airport, leading a large government delegation and businessmen, Mr. De Croo was welcomed by the Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi.

After reviewing a detachment of the Royal Air Forces’ First Air Base (1st BAFRA) which paid tribute, the Belgian Prime Minister was greeted by the Governor of Salé, Omar Touimi, the Mayor of Salé, Omar Sentissi, the Moroccan Ambassador to Belgium, Mohamed Ameur, and the Belgian Ambassador to Rabat, Véronique Petit.

During this visit, the Belgian Prime Minister will have discussions with the Head of Government. Similarly, ministers accompanying Mr. De Croo will hold working sessions with their Moroccan counterparts, focusing mainly on common interests and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

This visit will be crowned by the signing of several conventions and agreements of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

The Belgian Prime Minister is accompanied on this visit by a delegation including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Paul Van Tigchelt, Minister of the Interior, Annelies Verlinden, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hadja Lahbib, Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration, Nicole De Moor, President of the conduite Committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Theodora Gentzis.

He is also accompanied by the Director General of the Office for Foreigners, Freddy Roosemont, the Commissioner General of the Federal Police, Eric Snoeck, and a large delegation of businessmen who will take part in the Business Forum scheduled for Tuesday in Casablanca.
